Mickey J. Smith

Managing Partner

Mickey J. Smith is founder and managing partner. He has over 37 years of experience in strategic planning, sales development, and risk reduction strategies for small corporations and closely held businesses. He also advises on the acquisition, management, and disposition of assets such as real estate, heavy equipment, land, and privately held stock.

Prior to his retirement from the securities industry in 2008, he served as a registered principal and managed brokerage and advisory assets of over $230 million. He recruited and trained over a dozen FINRA brokers and Registered Investment Advisor representatives. He also established start-up offices for Edward Jones, Charles Schwab, & LPL Financial.

For the past 15 years he has provided start-up consulting, and crisis management, and performed estate & business continuation planning. He continues to advise family-owned and closely held companies on asset recapitalization, acquisitions, finance, and marketing. He has served on the boards of civic, charitable, corporate, and governmental organizations.

Mickey and his wife Pam have been married 39 years and are parents to Lindsay, Russ, and Laura Reed. They currently reside in Nashville Tennessee.

Russell H. Smith, CPA

Managing Partner

Russell H. Smith, CPA has been a partner since 2019. He joined the firm as a licensed financial advisor in 2014 and received his CPA designation in 2016. He specializes in financial analysis, business development, and strategic planning for small and mid sized companies.

From 2016 to 2019, Russ served in the financial services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Atlanta specializing in tax consulting for real estate partnerships, joint ventures, and real estate investment trusts (REITs).

Current engagements include advising high net worth families and privately held companies on a wide variety of issues including capital raising and deployment, tax and estate planning, and alternative asset management. He serves as chief financial officer for Glenn E. Daulton, Inc., an 85-year marine equipment leasing and logistics company.

Russ is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and holds a masters in accounting from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. He resides in Nashville Tennessee.

Matthew T. Amick

Project Engineer

Matt Amick has served as project manager since 2022. He provides construction and property management services for the firm. He has over 10 years of experience in operations management, facility & equipment maintenance, and process engineering.

Matt specializes in the efficient design, scheduling, and execution of projects with multiple vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. From 2015 to 2022 he served as Operations & Production Manager for National Industrial Concepts, a Gallatin Tennessee tier 1 automotive supplier, manufacturer, & IATF Certified Plant.

Matt is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University. He and his wife Lindsay welcomed their son Miles in 2024. They reside in Nashville Tennessee.

Pamela Smith

Family Office Director

Pamela Smith has been a partner since 2008 and has over 30 years of experience in finance, investment, and trust management. She provides professional power of attorney, trustee, successor trustee, and estate services to client families. She has developed a reputation for serving as an effective intermediary between trust grantors, beneficiaries, and the advisors who serve them.

She serves as managing partner for SmithReed Partners and ELB Farms responsible for finance, leasing, dispositions, and investor relations.

Pam and her husband Mickey have been married for 39 years and are parents to Russ, Lindsay, and Laura Reed. She enjoys playing league tennis and spending time with family and friends. They currently reside in Nashville Tennessee.
